WE ARE THE WIND
Tie scarves or crepe paper streamers to your children's wrists
and invite them to dance around like the wind. Encourage them
to start out like a gentle breeze, then grow into a stronger
wind, and finally into stormy blowing. Then have them reverse
the process, gradually ending up at rest.
WIND, WIND
Tune: "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"
Wind, wind, blow the clouds
Fast across the sky.
Blow the branches back and forth
In the trees so high.

LIGHT AND HEAVY SNACKS
At snacktime, serve foods that are lightweight, such as puffed
cereal or chips, and foods that are heavier, such as apple wedges
or broccoli florets. Ask your children to speculate about which
might be good for an outdoor picnic on a windy day and which
might not.
