Party Hat Basket – purchase plain cone shaped party hats. Substitute a thin ribbon handle for the rubber band strap. Fill with real or pretend flowers.
Paper Cup Basket – Use large paper cups for May baskets. Let children fill them with wild flowers. Staple on a paper or cloth handle.
Berry Baskets - Tie on a ribbon or cloth handle. Line the basket with tissue paper. Let children make paper flowers to fill it with.
SIMPLE FLOWER AND BASKET GAMES
Set out Easter basket type baskets. Scatter felt flower tops around the room. Let your children collect flowers in their baskets.
Let your child hand May baskets on the doors of family and friends.
Put three flowers in a basket. Let children take turns counting the flowers in the basket.
Have children name the colors of the flowers in their baskets.
