HAND RHYMES AND ACTIVITIES  


OPEN THEM / SHUT THEM

Open them, shut them.
Open them, shut them.
Give a little clap.

Lay them in your lap.

Repeat the rhyme a few times with your children, then have them act out the rhyme, first slowly, then faster and faster.
 

CREEP THEM

Show your toddler how to have their fingers creep up their arms to their chins.
Creep, them, creep them,          (Creep fingers up an arm)
Up to your chin.                          (Touch chin with fingers)
Open your mouth.                       (Open your mouth)
But do not let them in!               (Shake head “no”)

I CLAP MY HANDS

I clap my hands, I wave my hands, I touch them to the ground.
I clap my hands, I wave my hands, I turn myself around.
I clap my hands, I wave my hands, I set myself right down.
I clap my hands, I wave my hands, I do not make a sound.
