MAY BASKETS
PAPER CUP BASKETS
You can make simple May Baskets for toddlers using paper cups.
Let your children fill a paper cup with wild flowers.

Staple on a ribbon handle.
Show your child how to hang their baskets on the door of a friend or neighbor.
 
DOILY BASKETS
You will need large white or colored doilies for this activity.

Take a large doily and fold it in-half.

Staple a ribbon loop on the top (in the middle of the arch).

Show your child how to lay flowers in the basket on both sides.


MAY BASKET SONG
 Sung to: “A Tisket, A Tasket”

A tisket, a tasket,
I made a May basket.
I filled it up with flowers to say,
“Have a happy May Day”.

A tisket, a tasket,
I made a May Basket.
I put it on your door today,
Rang the bell, then ran away.
