SPRING PUPPETS
FINGER PUPPETS
Place a seasonal sticker on your child’s pointer finger.
Suggestions: a bunny sticker or an egg sticker.
FINGER PUPPET STAGE
Give your child a plain white paper plate and a green marking pen.
Have your toddler draw green grass all over his plate.
When done, take the plate and fold it in half, then open it up and using a knife or scissors, cut a 4” slit down the middle of the fold.
Refold the plate and give it to your child.
Show your child how to stick her puppet finger under the fold and stick it out through the slit.
Have your child tell you a story about her puppet character.
BUNNY STICK PUPPET
Using a bunny cutout from the pattern station, cut out a bunny shape from heavy paper.
Next, have your child glue a cotton ball onto the bunny shape.
Then tape or glue a craft stick to the back side of the bunny shape, leaving half of it hanging down to be used as a handle.
Let your child use his bunny puppet when you read a bunny story or sing bunny songs.
