FACES

PAPER PLATE FACES
Give your child a paper plate.
Help her by placing two small globs of glue on the plate at eye level.
Next, give your toddler two blue, brown or black poms. Have her place the poms over the glue for two eyes.
Next, draw a smiley face line of glue on for a mouth.
Give your child a red piece of yarn to lay on the smile glue line.

FACE COLLAGE
Cut out multiple faces from a magazine.
Give your toddler a piece of paper and some glue and a brush.
Show him how to brush on some glue and then place a face on his paper.
Encourage him to glue faces all over his paper.

FELT BOARD FACES
Set out a felt board (cardboard covered with felt).
Place a large felt cutout of a face on the felt board.
Cut out felt facial features and place them at the bottom of the felt board.
Show your child how to make different faces using the facial felt pieces.
When your child is finished, give her a zip-lock bag in which to store the felt pieces.

MIRROR MOVEMENTS
Sit in front of a mirror with your child.
Ask him to wiggle or move a certain facial feature, such as a mouth, a nose, etc.
Take turns with your child. Let him ask you to wiggle a facial feature, too.

PANCAKE FACES
Make pancakes for your toddler.
While she is watching, add blueberries to make a face in the pancake dough.

You will need a margarine lid for this activity.
