BOUNTIFUL BASKETS

continued...

BASKET DROP
Collect some clothespins and place a basket on the floor. Invite your children to take turns standing next to the basket and try dropping the clothespins down into it. Use a large basket at first, then put out a smaller one for a more challenging activity.

I WISH I HAD A BASKET
Tune: "Have You Ever Seen a Lassie?"

Oh, I wish I had a basket,
A basket, a basket.
Oh, I wish I had a basket,
I know what I'd do.
I'd fill it with cookies
And give it to Isaac.
Oh, I wish I had a basket,
I know what I'd do.
Elizabeth Scofield

Repeat, letting your children substitute other words for "cookies" and "Isaac."

PICNIC SNACK BASKET

Tuck snacks into zipper-top sandwich bags. Put them into a picnic basket, along with boxes of juice. Then spread a blanket out on the floor and let your children enjoy an indoor picnic.
