FABULOUS FLOWERS

continued...

FROM SEEDS TO FLOWERS
Plant fast-growing seeds, such as marigold seeds, in flower pots or a garden. Set up a schedule for your children to care for them.
Plant mixed wildflower seeds outdoors in a garden plot or large tub. Watch for flower surprises to appear throughout the spring.

PLANT THE SEEDS IN A ROW
Tune: "If You're Happy and You Know It"

Plant the seeds in a row, in a row.
Plant the seeds in a row, in a row.
See the sunlight shining down
And the rain fall all around,
Then watch the pretty flowers
Grow and grow.
                          Liz Ryerson

Let your children make up movements for acting out the song.

FRUITY FLOWER SNACKS

Have your children place banana slices on small plates for flower centers. Then let them arrange fruits such as these around the banana slices for petals.
Mandarin orange segments
Blueberries or sliced Strawberries
Grape halves
Pineapple chunks
