PEEP, PEEP, PEEP
Form a circle with your children and pretend to be chicks.
Invite one child to be the parent and sit in the middle of
the circle with eyes closed. Point to one of the chicks to
peep several times. Have the parent open his or her eyes and
try to guess which chick made the sounds. When the correct
guess has been made, let the peeping chick become the new
parent, and then start the game again.
LITTLE CHICKS
Tune: "Frere Jacques"
Little chicks, little chicks
Hopping round, hopping round,
Pecking at the corn,
Pecking at the corn
On the ground, on the ground.
As you sing, let your children pretend to be chicks
and act out the song.

CHICK DRINKING STRAWS
Cut small chick shapes out of yellow paper and let your children
decorate them as desired. Attach each shape to a plastic straw
by cutting two short, parallel slits across the shape and pushing
one end of the straw in one slit and out the other. Let your
children use their straws at snack time for drinking juice or
milk.
