THE COLORING KIDS COLOR THEIR DREAMS

A color story by Jean Warren

The crayon kids went to bed
And dreamed a sad, sad, sight.
Everything in their dreams
Was colored the color of white.

This will not do, they both agreed,
Dreams should be bright and gay.
So they took out their crayons, markers and pens
And started to color away.

The grass they turned green.
The sky now was blue.
Their house they turned red
With a door, that was new.

The flowers were yellow
The fence they kept white.
Their horses were brown.
What a colorful sight.

When they woke up.
Their coloring was done.
But now their dreams
Would be much more fun!
