DAFFODIL
- Cut out yellow flower shapes for your children using the
medium flower pattern.
- Next, give your children a paper baking cup to glue in
the center of their flower shape.
- Have your children glue their daffodil on a piece of paper
and add stems and leaves with a green marking pen.

FLOWER NECKLACE
|
Using colored paper, cut out multiple flowers for your children
using the medium flower pattern. |
|
Punch holes in the center of each flower with a hole punch
(or sharp pencil). |
|
Give flowers to your children along with some straws and some
yarn pieces 18" long. Wrap one end of the yarn pieces with
tape to create a "sewing needle". |
|
Have your children cut the straws into small 1" pieces. |
|
Then, show them how to lace the straw pieces and the flowers
onto the yarn. Alternate straw pieces and flowers. |
|
Children should lace on approximately 5 - 7 straw sections
and 4 - 6 paper flowers. |
|
Help your children tie their necklaces around their necks
when they are finished lacing. |
|
CREATIVE FLOWERS
|
Print out a copy of the large pattern for each of your children. |
|
Have them color the flower petals with markers or crayons. |
|
Next, have them add glue to the center of their
flowers and add one of the following:
- Cottonballs
- Glitter
- Sequins
- Used coffee grounds (Rinsed and dried)
- Confetti

GROWING FLOWERS
- Using the small flower pattern, cut out 6 - 8 small flowers
from construction paper.
- Glue the flowers to the top of popscicle sticks.
- Using a shoe box, cut 8 slits in the lid. (two rows of
four).
- Let your children use the flowers to plant a pretend flower
garden in the box.
