I’M
A LITTLE WATERING CAN
Tune: “I’m A Little Teapot”
I’m a little watering can
Tall and thin.
To fill me up,
Just pour some water in.
Then you tip me over
And the water sprinkles out.
“Thanks for the drink,”
The flowers all shout!

OUT IN THE
GARDEN
Tune: "Down By The Station"
Out in the garden,
In the month of May.
See the busy farmers
Planting seeds all day.
Soon their will be flowers
And red ripe tomatoes.
Maybe even squash
And little brown potatoes.

MY MAY GARDEN
Tune: "Skip To My Lou"
Sun in the sky; shine, shine, shine.
Sun in the sky; shine, shine, shine.
Sun in the sky; shine, shine, shine.
Help me with my garden.
Additional verses:
Rain from the clouds, drip, drip, drip.
Seeds in the dirt, grow, grow, grow.
Have your children act out the motions.

OUR SPRING TIME GARDEN
Tune: “Here We Go ‘Round The Mulberry Bush”
This is the way we hoe the dirt, hoe the dirt, hoe the dirt,
This is the way we hoe the dirt, for our spring time garden.
This is the way we plant the seeds, plant our seeds, plant our seeds,
This is the way we plant the seeds, for our spring time garden.
This is the way we water the seeds, water the seeds, water the seeds,
This is the way we water the seeds, for our spring time garden.
This is the way we pull the weeds, pull the weeds, pull the weeds,
This is the way we pull the weeds, for our spring time garden
This is the way we pick the flowers, pick the flowers, pick the flowers,
This is the way we pick the flowers, from our spring time garden.

You could also sing this about a summer vegetable garden. |
PRETTY LITTLE FLOWER
Tune: “Eensy, Weensy Spider”
Pretty little flower, smiling at the sun.
Down comes the rain, now she looks so glum.
Back comes the sun and dries up all the rain.
And the pretty little flower, is smiling once again!

MY GARDEN
I have a little garden, outside by kitchen door.
It is filled with vegetables and spices galore.
If you come to visit, I’ll give you quite a few.
So you can make a soup, or a pot of stew!

I DIG AND DIG
I dig and dig and plant some seeds.
I rake and rake and pull some weeds.
The sun comes out and I know,
Soon my flowers (vegetables) will start to grow.
