BLOCKS
Blocks make buildings very tall. (Stand on tip-toes and stretch)
Blocks make houses big and small. (Squat and make self small)
Blocks make churches with steeples and doors. (Hands over head like steeple)
Blocks make towers that fall to the floor! (Fall to the floor )

BLOCKS CAN BE ANYTHING
Blocks can be people or animals, too.
Blocks can be buildings or even a zoo.
Blocks can be castles with bridges quite wide.
Blocks can be houses with rooms, inside.
Blocks can towers that grow up tall.
Blocks can be any- thing at all!

WHEN BUILDING WITH BLOCKS
Whenever we -build with blocks,
We stop when they reach our nose.
‘Cause if we build much higher,
They could fall and hurt our toes.

PICK A BLOCK
Pick a block to put on top.
Careful now – don’t let it drop!
Higher-higher – up you go!
Take your time – do it slow.
Balance one, two and three,
See how high it can be.

BLOCK TOWER FINGERPLAY
I’m building a block tower, up to the sky. (Point upward)
Did you ever see a tower climb so high? (Raise both hands above head)
Block upon block (fist over fist)
It’s starting to lean (lean body to side)
Just one more block (hold up one finger)
Now what will that mean? (Shrug shoulders)
CRASH! (Fall to the ground)
