HEART PUZZLES
 |
Using red light weight cardboard, cut out 3-5 medium sized hearts. |
 |
Now cut the heart shapes into two puzzle pieces. Make sure that each heart is cut with a different type of line down the middle of the heart. |
 |
Mix up the puzzle pieces and let your children take turns matching the puzzle pieces.

|
You can use these simple puzzles to create many different kinds of learning puzzles.
|
MATCHING NUMERALS AND DOTS
 |
On one side of each puzzle, print a numeral, such as; 1, 2, 3, etc. |
 |
On the opposite side of each puzzle make corresponding dots. |
 |
Mix up the puzzle pieces and have children take turns matching the numerals and dots. |

MATCHING OBJECT STICKERS
You will need sets of matching stickers for these puzzles.
 |
Take a heart puzzle and place matching stickers on each side of the puzzle. |
 |
Continue doing the same to three or four different puzzles. |
 |
Mix up the puzzle pieces and have children take turns matching the object stickers. |

MATCHING CAPITAL AND LOWER CASE LETTERS
 |
On each side of a heart puzzle, print upper and lower case letters. |

MATCHING COLOR PUZZLES
 |
Make the heart puzzles in different colors.
|
|
MATCHING SPANISH AND ENGLISH WORDS
 |
Write the same word on each side of the puzzle. |
 |
One side in Spanish and the other side in English. |
|
MATCHING COMPOUND WORDS
 |
On the left side of the puzzle, write the beginning words of a compound word. |
 |
One the right side of the puzzle, write the ending of the compound word. |
 |
Example: Cow and Boy.

MATCHING RHYMING WORDS
 |
On one side of a puzzle write a word. |
 |
On the other side of the puzzle write a rhyming word.
|
|
