HEALTHY “READY TO GO” SNACKS
Apple

FRESH FRUIT

  • ½ banana
  • ½ orange
  • ½ cup grapes (cut in half)
  • ½ cup berries (strawberries, blue berries, raspberries)
  • 1 small apple
  • ½ cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 peach
  • 1 small pear
  • ½ cup melon (cantaloupe, watermelon, honeydew)


CANNED FRUIT

  • ½ cup unsweetened fruit cocktail
  • ½ cup pineapple slices
  • ½ cup mandarin oranges
     

 
DRIED FRUITS

  • 1/8 cup raisins
  • 10 banana or apple slices
     

DRINKS

  • ½ cup fruit juice
  • ½ cup banana milk shake
  • Lemon water with tablespoon of fruit juice
  • Frozen fruit juice pops

 
VEGETABLES

  • 4 baby carrots or carrot sticks
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 3-4 celery sticks
  • 4 slices of red, yellow or green peppers
  • 4 broccoli spears
  • 4 cauliflower spears
  • 4 slices of cucumber
  • 4 string beans
  • 4 cherry tomatoes (cut in half)
  • 4 asparagus spears
  • 4 zucchini sticks
  • 4 jicama sticks
     

DIPS AND SAUCES

  • ¼ cup hummus
  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese dip
  • ¼ cup bean dip
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • ¼ cup cheese dip
  • ¼ cup peanut butter

 
CHIPS, BREADS & CEREALS

  • 4” pita bread
  • 1 slice whole wheat bread
  • 6 whole wheat crackers
  • 1/3 cup granola
  • 10 baked light tortilla chips
  • ½ slice of banana, carrot or zucchini bread
  • 1 long bread stick

DAIRY SNACKS

  • 1 boiled egg (cut in half)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cheese stick or slice
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • ½ cup cottage cheese
