BUG SNACKS

Your children will enjoy making and eating these fun bug snacks.

ANTS ON A LOG
Wash and clean some celery stalks.
Cut them in half and fill with cream cheese or cheese spread.
Let your child place 4-5 raisins on top.
 
LADYBUG CRACKERS
Spread strawberry cream cheese on large circle crackers.
Let your child place a thin strip of licorice down the middle of the cracker.
Then have your child place four raisins on each side of the center line.
 
SANDWICH BUTTERFLIES
Make your child his favorite sandwich.
Then cut the sandwich in-half diagonally.
Place a slice of pickle or a ½ stock of celery down the middle of a plate.
Place the sandwich on either side of the middle item, with the sandwich point, pointing inward.
 
CATERPILLERS
Set out some grapes lined up on a lettuce leaf for a caterpillar snack.
Or spread cream cheese on a cracker and have your child place five green peas across the middle.
 
BUG OR SPIDERS
Set out some prunes and some small pretzels.
Show your child how to poke three or four pretzels on either side of a prune.
 
BEE SNACKS
Spread some honey on a graham cracker for a bee snack.
Or – dip carrot sticks in some honey for a snack.
