ANIMAL STORIES
 Look for stories that you can read to your children about animals that live in different environments.
Have your children compare the way these different animals live.
  Stories about brown bears – The Forest.
  Stories about coyotes – The Desert.
  Stories about elephants – The Jungle.
  Stories about Polar Bears - The Arctic.
  Stories about frogs – The Pond.
  Stories about cows – The Farm.
  Stories about whales – The Ocean
  Stories about buffalo – The Plains
  
ANIMAL SORTING GAME

Select the six colors of construction paper listed below and label them with the corresponding environments as indicated.
• Light green – The Jungle
• White – The Arctic
• Tan – The Desert
• Blue – The Ocean
• Red – The Farm
• Dark Green – The Forest
Set out the papers on a table or the floor.
Provide your child with a variety of animal cards or toy figurines.
Then have your child place the animals on the colored paper that represents the type of environment where the animal lives .
