PINE NEEDLE BRUSH ART
Take a small handful of pine needles and tie them together with floss, or string. |
These will be used as painting brushes. |
Have children dip the pine needle brush into a plate with red, yellow and orange paint and paint with the brush on a large sheet of white paper. |
I hang up the needle brushes along with the art work, to show parents how the pictures were created.

MONTHLY COLLAGE
Each month we create a different colored collage. In September our color is red.
I cut out a large apple shape and hang it up. |
During the month, each parent and child brings in a red item, which they attach to our red apple collage. |
At the end of each month, I hang the collage on the wall as part of a color collage boarder.

FALL TREE DISPLAY
Create a large display tree on a bulletin board for displaying children’s art work.
Take brown grocery bags and tear them into large pieces. |
Then crumble the pieces and staple them onto the board into the shape of a tree. |
Decorate your tree with fall leaves painted by your children. |
