OUT IN THE GARDEN
Tune:  “Down By The Station”

Out in the garden in the month of May,
See the pretty flowers standing in a row.
 
(Birds fly on stage)
 
See the little birds flying down to greet them.
Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, off they go.
 
(Birds fly to back of stage)

Out in the garden in the month of May,
See the pretty flowers standing in a row.
 
(Bees fly onstage)
 
See the little bees flying down to greet them.
Buzz, buzz, buzz, buzz, off they go.
 
(Bees fly to back of stage)

Out in the garden in the month of May,
See the pretty flowers standing in a row.
 
(Butterflies fly onstage)
 
See the little butterflies flying down to greet them.
Flit, flit, flit, flit, off they go.
 
(Butterflies fly to back of stage. Then Birds, Bees, and Butterflies
step forward in line with the Flowers.  All Characters join hands andwalk around in a circle.)

IN OUR SPRINGTIME GARDEN

What a lovely time of year,

In our springtime garden.
(All Characters kneel, except Flowers, who sway back and forth)
See the flowers swing and sway,
Swing and sway, swing and sway.
See the flowers swing and sway
In our springtime garden.          

(All Characters stand up, join hands and walk around in a circle.)
What a lovely time of year,
Time of year, time of year.
What a lovely time of year
In our springtime garden.

(All Characters kneel, except Birds, who flap their wings and chirp.)
Hear the birds chirp all day,
Chirp all day, chirp all day.
Hear the birds chirp all day
In our springtime garden.

(All Characters stand up, join hands and walk around in a circle.)

In our springtime garden.

(All Characters kneel, except Bees, who buzz around)
Hear the bees buzz and play,
Buzz and play, buzz and play.
Hear the bees buzz and play
In our springtime garden.

(All Characters stand up, join hands and walk around in a circle.)

In our springtime garden.

(All Characters kneel, except Butterflies, who wave their wings.)
See the butterflies today,
Flap and wave, flap and wave.
See the butterflies today

(All Characters stand up, join hands and walk around in a circle.)

(Flowers stand in a row while Birds, Bees and Butterflies fly around.  Then stop to sing the following song.)
