M & M COOKIES

Using a hole punch.  Punch out small circles using several bright colors of paper.

Give your child a circular shape cut from heavy tan paper.
Set out some glue and a glue brush.
Have your child brush glue all over her paper cookie.
Then have her place her glued circle into a box lid and sprinkle some small colored circles all over her cookie.
 
CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
Give your child a circular shape cut from heavy tan paper.
Set out a small plate with some brown paint on it.
Give your child an unsharpened pencil with a good eraser.
Have your child dip the eraser on the pencil into the paint and make small brown circles all over his cookie shape.
 
GINGERBREAD COOKIES
Using the gingerbread pattern at the Pattern Station, cut out a gingerbread shape for your child from brown heavy paper
Set out some marking pens and let your child decorate her gingerbread cookie however she wishes.
  
PLAY DOUGH COOKIES
Set out two colors of play dough.
Let your child pound and roll the dough into their own interesting cookies.
Set out a cookie sheet for your child to place their cookies on.
Be sure to supervise this activity, to be sure that your child does not eat the play dough.
 
HOLIDAY COOKIES
Bake real holiday sugar cookies and let your child paint on a thin frosting with a clean paint brush.
Or – set out some holiday paper cookie shapes and let your child paint them with holiday colors.
