  DECORATING EASTER EGGS
Creating designs on eggs is fun for preschoolers.
There are many simple ways to create exciting decorations.

RUBBER BAND DESIGNS
Have your child wrap one or more small rubber bands on his egg before dying it. When the egg is dry, remove the rubber bands and your child's egg will have white crossed lines on it.

WHITE CRAYON DESIGNS
Another easy way to create egg designs is to give your child a white crayon and let her draw a simple picture or design on her egg. When she dyes her egg the parts with the crayon will resist the dye and the design will show up.

LEAF DESIGNS
A slightly more complicated method of creating designs is to have your child lay a small leaf or fern on his egg. Then help him wrap a small piece of netting or square of a nylon stocking around the egg securing the leaf tightly in place. Wrap rubber bands around the two ends of the netting, and then have him dye the egg as usual.

MASKING TAPE DESIGNS
Children can also cross small pieces of masking tape on their eggs before dying them.

Let your child be innovative while dying eggs.
The creativity and learning are in the process not the end product.
